Untitled-1The University of Texas Rugby Team was founded in 1985. Long a local power the Longhorns have been building the program to compete on the national stage for the last decade. UT finished 2013 placing 13th nationally in 7’s and ended the season ranked 12th in 15’s.

The Longhorns embrace the true student athlete experience at the internationally known school. Texas has 8 Academic All Americans over the last 3 seasons. UT also supports one of the most diverse player pools in the nation. The Longhorn rugby team proudly boasts members from El Salvador, Germany, England, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Argentina, Canada and Mexico. As the performance off the field has continued the University has also strengthened its support of the team working closely to reinforce the standards maintained by its student athletes. UT is excited to compete against Universities across the country that share these values.
